Bohdan is an award-winning filmmaker with cross-cultural directing experience and optioned screenwriter. He was born & raised in Slovakia, at 9 moved to Algeria, then Germany, UAE & Canada, & now resides in California. His first career—16 years of study & practice in psychotherapy—permeates everything he does in film. From writing complex characters & directing talent with nuanced insight to communicating effectively with the creative team & crew, Bohdan’s background is a unique asset in this relation-centric industry that delivers stories about the human experience. Filmmaking is his gestalt of psychology, photography, painting, writing, music, martial arts, & Eastern/Western philosophy.

In 2022 he created & directed a documentary film with NHK Japan exploring the process of creativity titled "CHOREOGRAPHER of the SOUL" that aired four times into homes of 125 million viewers & is in the packaging stage of his feature film (psychological crime drama) “MOTHER MOTHER.”

His short narrative drama “CUDDLER” (2015) won numerous awards & nominations from festivals around the world. He filmed & directed a short narrative drama “How We Dance” (2016) in Tokyo & Kyoto & his silent short narrative film “Thou” (2017) won the Gold Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival (2018). He completed "Opportune" in 2018, a short narrative drama that premiered at the Toronto Black Film Festival.
